Little Duck is an independent Australian software studio. We build phone apps and online services for everyday problems that other products leave unsolved.
How we decide what to build
Every product starts with an ordinary problem. Splitting a restaurant bill without the awkward maths. Working out whether your power plan is really the cheapest one for you. Running a household's money when not everything is shared.
We look for problems the current options handle badly, then build one thing that handles it well. And we don't play the usual big-tech games with your data, or build apps that are designed to keep you scrolling.

Little Duck Interactive Pty Ltd is an Australian company. We design, build and publish our own products, and keep looking after them after launch.
Who we are
Behind Little Duck is Matty Dillon, founder and director. Matty has spent nearly twenty years in software, as a developer, a network and platform engineer, and a leader of teams that built features their markets followed. He moved from the Isle of Man to Brisbane in 2008. The lesson that stuck from all of it is to listen to what the customer actually wants, then build that. Every product here is designed, built and looked after by Matty, and that's the whole team for now.
We're named after the founder's daughter, Ducky: curious, busy, always solving something, and very good at finding the gap in a rule without breaking it. We try to build software the same way.
